The mission of the Department of Health Sciences is to educate and train students who will collaboratively address human health from interdisciplinary natural and social scientific perspectives to promote health and to improve the lives of individuals and communities. 

The department offers a BS in Health Sciences, with concentrations in Bioscience or Public Health Sciences, and a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree with concentrations in Community Health Practice or Social Epidemiology. The department also offers a minor in Public Health Studies and several combined degree and accelerated programs, including combined bachelor's and master's degrees at DePaul with the Master of Public Health (MPH) program, the Occupational Therapy (MS) program, a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program, and five accelerated (3+) professional degree programs (physician assistant, physical therapy, pharmacy, pathologists' assistant, and podiatric medicine) in collaboration with Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science​.
