“‘A society’s culture,’ says Ward Goodenough, ‘consists of whatever it is one has to know or believe in order to operate in a manner acceptable to its members.’ The same might be said of the manifest culture of the international society, the diplomatic culture.”

- James Der Derian, On Diplomacy, 1987

The Diplomacy, Culture and Identity concentration provides a foundation for those interested in pursuing multiple career trajectories, including preparation for advanced studies in the field.
