This certificate provides students with a theoretical and practical understanding of crime and technical crime analysis skills. Students will gain an overview of the criminal justice field, understanding of the spatial contexts of crime, and the geographic information systems (GIS) technical skills needed to analyze and solve crime problems. Students must complete five courses: three required courses and two elective courses, one in criminology and one in geography.
