The DePaul University Library is a hub for teaching and learning with resources, services and spaces to support students’ academic and personal success. The University Library includes the John T. Richardson Library in Lincoln Park and the Loop Library​ on the 10th floor of the DePaul Center. The Vincent G. Rinn Law Library​ is part of the College of Law and is located in the Lewis Center on the Loop Campus.

Resources

  • The Library provides access to databases, scholarly journals and articles, books and e-books, streaming media, primary sources and more online through our website and at our locations.
  • Students can borrow materials from 90+ libraries through I-Share and request articles through interlibrary loan.
  • The library's collection also includes DVDs, CDs, sheet music, and loanable technology such as digital cameras, microphones, phone chargers and more. 

Research Help

  • Librarians provide research assistance in person, and via email, phone, text, chat or Zoom.
  • Students can also make a research consultation appointment to meet with a librarian who specializes in a specific subject.

Special Collections and Archives

  • Collections strengths include social justice, Vincentian heritage and DePaul University history.

Work Spaces

  • The Library provides collaborative, individual, and quiet study spaces, including reservable group and solo study areas.
  • Computers, white boards, printers, copiers and scanners are available.
  • Students can access audio and video studios, equipment and software, and a green screen room in our technology work spaces.
