A JD student who receives a grade of F or FX in LAW 105, LAW 112, LAW 119, LAW 120, LAW 140, LAW 160, LAW 170, or LAW 506 must repeat the course in the student’s next academic year and receive a passing grade. Prior to graduation, JD students must also receive passing grades for LARC III,(LAW 115), legal profession(LAW 481 or LAW 252), a course that meets the Advanced Writing Requirement, and six credit hours from experiential education courses.
A student who receives a grade of F or FX in an elective course is permitted to repeat the course once. Students may not repeat courses they have passed, unless the course is repeatable for credit.
All grades achieved are recorded on the academic record. All attempts are to be calculated into the grade point average. Credit will only be awarded for the course upon achievement of a passing grade.
This policy does not apply to courses that are repeatable for credit.
